Rob Gee's AWOL is a joyous celebration of ageing, risk-taking and the surprises life has to offer even after retirement.

This is a feel-good adventure about two old men who escape from a care home to attend a trash metal festival. Cyril, who doesn't particularly like old people despite being one, learns that his estranged granddaughter Lily is about to have her big break with her thrash metal band, Abscess. Determined to support her, Cyril and his friend Neville embark on a journey that changes them forever.

Written by a Croatian playwright and performed by a Croatian actor, Pepper & Honey is a poignant, subtle and timely play about the journey of change, cultural differences, trying not to feel like a foreigner in your adopted country and the conflict between upholding the traditions of the ‘old country’ and embracing those of the new.
