This project invites people living and working in 5 rural English communities to work in partnership to bring arts of all kinds to their local area.
Shows to watch, workshops to make and create, spectacles to delight, live music to move with, new ways to work in old spaces, and anything else the community wants to make happen. We aim to improve access to the arts for people living in rural places and in doing so, support their community and improve the quality of life.
We are bringing Live & Local’s decades of experience to 5 Rural Hub Towns to co-create exciting events with and for the community. Over the next 2 years, each community’s thoughts and ideas will come to life with the assistance of our team and talented artists. Everybody who lives or works in these areas is invited to get involved with planning. Funding is already in place thanks to Arts Council England and local authorities.
