The National Rural Touring Forum (NRTF) is the umbrella body for organisations and individuals involved in the promotion of professional arts events with rural and other communities. There are currently approximately 35 other schemes around the country who are members of the NRTF.
The NRTF does not provide direct support to individual performances or venues; however it does provide an absolutely vital link between schemes, enabling them to swap information about great shows, share information and skills and to share in the results of successful funding applications which individual schemes could not achieve by themselves.
Full Membership is open to bone fide schemes, with Associate Membership being available to promoters, artists and other organisations.
More information about the NRTF and membership can be obtained at www.ruraltouring.org.
NRTF Annual Conference
The biggest event of the year is the annual conference. The conference is aimed at anyone with an interest in the provision of high quality professional arts promoted with, by and for rural and other communities.
Promoter Bursaries are available from the NRTF to enable voluntary promoters with rural touring schemes to attend the conference. These are usually allocated on a first come, first served basis of one per rural touring scheme or county.
If you are interested in attending the conference then please check the NRTF website (www.ruraltouring.org) or contact the Live & Local office on 01926 402173.
