Live & Local's History

1987

The organisation grew out of The Warwickshire Village and Community Touring Scheme that was originally managed from 1987 by the County Arts Development Officer

1992

Warwickshire Community Arts was formed as an unincorporated organisation in July 1992

1994

...and incorporated as a Company limited by guarantee in August 1994.

1994

Staffordshire joined the network.

1995

Live & Local became the legal name covering all our activities.

2001

Derbyshire joined the network.

2015

Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire joined the network.

Now/2024

Live & Local is now a not-for-profit NPO which co-ordinates a rural and community touring network of over 300 village halls, community networks and voluntary groups to enable them to deliver high quality live performances and other arts projects activities.
