Live and Local - Surprising Shows In Surprising Places

Board Member

Live & Local has grown in twenty-five years from a small project in Warwickshire into a confident and effective broker for a range of high quality, professional and diverse arts experience for communities across eight counties in the Midlands. This is achieved through the co-ordination of seven Rural and Community Touring Networks, an artist development scheme, community film screenings and other arts projects relating to health & well-being, children and young people and economic development.

Live & Local's success stems from its partnerships with voluntary organisations within the participating communities, working with appropriate professional artists and a widely skilled staff team and Board.

We want to grow and strengthen our Board and are looking for experienced individuals to support the shaping and delivery of our strategic plans particularly in the following areas but in no specific order of priority:

  • Business management areas: Legal, HR, ICT;
  • Making work for rural touring;
  • Fundraising including sponsorship;
  • Use of digital technology in marketing and creativity.

This is an excellent opportunity to share your expertise and make a positive contribution to a growing and well-regarded regional arts organisation. If you don't offer any of the attributes listed above, but still think that Live & Local could benefit from your skills and experience, we would still like to hear from you.

A commitment of at least five days a year is required including quarterly daytime, weekday Board Meetings held in Warwick plus active commitment to other activities. All expenses are paid.
