Live & Local - Surprising Shows In Surprising Places

Statement about COVID-19 crisis

Live & Local has cancelled all events for the remainder of the Spring/Summer season. This means we will have cancelled near to 170 live events or film screenings.

We thank all our audiences, funders, voluntary promoter groups and artists for their understanding and best wishes. It means such a lot to us, particularly at this extremely challenging time. See full statement here.

The Show must go on(line)!

We have made a pledge to our audiences that we will find new and creative ways of sharing the best professional performing arts, even amidst the current crisis. We’re currently having conversations about how to do this internally and with other members of the National Rural Touring Forum.

In the meantime, please follow us on Twitter and Facebook to hear more about the amazing things Live & Local’s associate artists and others are doing online. We will share their creative responses to the crisis and how they’re transforming live performances into virtual community productions.

Great examples can also be found in our weekly newsletters: Live & Local Connect: A Guide To Online Arts and Culture.
