Another chance to book this slick comedy theatre duo whose ‘Gloriator’ / Gladiator tribute many of you enjoyed last season. This new show features another outing for their hilarious comedy personas of a Diva-like French actress Gloria Delaneuf and her long-suffering put-upon assistant, Josephine. The show begins with Glorias quest to see herself as a latter day Diane Fossey (Gorillas in the Mist), Gloria travels to the Kungalunga Jungle determined to prove that man and gorilla can live in harmony. Her huge ego gets her into all sorts of trouble including a tricky situation with Mickey the amorous gorilla, more than one encounter with a Tarzan lookalike, plus there’s a kidnapping and a conversation with a dead cat. Hard-working Josephine not only brings to life all the characters in Gloria’s tale (including some of the jungle scenery), but also creeps around like a Mrs Overall style straight man to clean up the mess and chaos in Gloria’s wake. Her corrections of Gloria’s language gaffes are frequent and funny. The chemistry between these two and their comic timing will remind you of French and Saunders and Morecambe and Wise.
