HENRY NORMAL Raining Upwards

Show Details

Presented by Henry Normal

Performance date and time
Friday, 16th November 2018
7:30 PM

'Poetry so good you can actually understand it' is the maxim Henry Normal lives by. Here he brings his gently humorous verse and wry observations to a night of performance poetry/stand-up centred around life, love and extraordinary moments in our everyday lives. Clever, succinct, sometimes heartrending, sometimes crowd-pleasingly daft.

Normal is a stalwart figure in British TV, a multi award-winning writer and producer behind many classic comedies from 'The Royale Family' to 'Red Dwarf'. Poetry has always been his first love, however, and 'Raining Upwards' shows that his wit is just as sharp as ever.

'A mixture of the absurd and downright wacky... a gentle giant of stand-up poetry.' The List

'He's a clever wit who wears that intelligence lightly.' Chortle Comedy Guide

'Funniest man you've never heard of.' The Telegraph
