Performance date and time

7:30 PM

In the Summer of 1943, Bette and Vera travel the country hosting tea dances for RAF fighter pilots stationed nearby. What the locals don’t know is that the dance is a cover for the girls' real purpose; to send the men off to fight and die having experienced all of life's pleasures.

Think of England' is a rousing, thought-provoking immersive play, conceived for rural touring.

Anonymous Is A Woman Theatre Company makes innovative theatre with women at its centre as a response to women's underrepresentation in society and history. It tells stories about women that otherwise may not be heard, from the unsung heroes of our national and international past to the high profile trailblazers of today. The company works with male and female actors, directors and writers, and is female-centric only in the selection of its subject matter.

'Promising young theatre company.' The Stage

Produced in association with the Live & Local DART programme (developing artists for rural touring), and with Community Touring Network promoters in East and West Midlands.

'Excavates women's stories with spirit and invention.' ★★★★ The Guardian
