Live and Local - Surprising Shows In Surprising Places
Live & Local the film makers!
We were very excited to have the opportunity to work with professional film maker, Joe Wihl (White Night Films, London) to produce two short case study films about the scheme.
Over two days filming we interviewed several Live & Local Promoters from across Warwickshire about what they had gained from the Live & Local experience and why they chose to volunteer. We also filmed a Live & Local show at Wishaw and Moxhull Memorial Hall in North Warwickshire where the Groanbox boys were performing. The film captured all aspects of the event including setting up, the performance and the audience’s reactions. During the evening we interviewed lots of people to ask them their views on the impact of Live & Local in their local community and why events like this were important.
All of the interviewees did a great job and gave some fantastic thoughtful and honest comments which really summed up the importance and value of the scheme. Jenny and Emma from Live & Local even had a go in front of the camera! It was wonderful to work with a professional and learn a bit about the processes involved - we are all very excited to see the finished films!
