Important Information

  • Please read the Booking Terms & Conditions before submitting your Request Form. Your submitted Show Request form creates the agreement and constitutes an offer from you to Live & Local Ltd to host your requested number of performances on one of the preferred or possible dates offered against each choice on the Request Form.
  • All counties have the same fees. All Counties have the same service.
  • Tickets – Live & Local can provide physical tickets unless you are going to use online ticketing. We strongly recommend online ticketing to make your sales processes, box office, catering and overall event management more effective. See our advice and benefits.
  • Please note that we will automatically use the main contact’s home number (or mobile number if there is no home number) for the main box office number if we have not received a Publicity Form (sent to you when your shows/dates are confirmed) on time for an event. This will be part of the agreement that is created at the point you submit the Request form.

Programming & Anti-Clash Guidance

  • CONTACT NEARBY PROMOTERS prior to submitting your Request Form to ensure there are no date or show clashes.
  • GIVE US A RANGE OF DATES.
  • RESERVE THE DATES. When you have decided which shows and dates to bid for, make sure these dates are reserved at your venue until you hear from us. If you have pressure on a date please call us. We will remove it from our list. Howver if we confirm a show and date with you and the date is no longer available at your hall, and you have not told us, you will become liable for the full company fee.
  • CHECK THE EVENT INFORMATION. Available dates? Fits the venue? Agree the seating and staging format?

Nb: (1) Live & Local cannot guarantee allocation of any performances to a promoting group (2) Performances, shows and subsidy are allocated with a view to the success and sustainability of the whole network and programme. (3) All options on your Show Request form will be treated equally. We will not treat it as an order of preference. However please do use the additional information fields to indicate any season, artform or audience preferences.

Value Added Tax

Live & Local is registered for Vat. We have to charge Vat by law.
All the 'Cost to Promoters' fees in this Menu include Vat.

Ticket Prices for 2023/2024

Please refer to the 'Setting Ticket Prices' section for full information.

  • Minimum standard ticket price: £12:50
  • Minimum adult concession price: £9:50

Average Yield per Sale

This is the best way of monitoring or estimating your income and sales.

The average 'yield' is the gross box office income (Total Yield) divided by the total number of tickets paid for. (Full price and concessions) It does not include comps or stewards.

For 2024/25 we need to have an average yield per sale across all ticketed events of at least £12.50 for the scheme to make ends meet.

In 2023/24 the average yield per sale has been £12.25 across all Counties. (Nb this is not the average price of tickets. Average full price was actually £12.55 and average adult concessions were £10.10)
