Live and Local - Surprising Shows In Surprising Places
Live & Local and the Central Warwickshire Villages LEADER Programme
Live & Local already works with some sixteen communities across rural areas of Warwick District and Rugby Borough who are part of the Live & Local community performance network.
The emphasis of that scheme is about local choice and about making links within and between these local communities. We’d like to continue this principle in new ways and across the whole year and are having discussions around:
- A spring/summer storytelling/gathering project using our baby marquee;
- A bid for performance related equipment for village venues;
- How we can support smaller arts projects that may not easily fit in the LEADER application process.
We’d like to involve more local people and community groups in further developing these ideas. They are outlined if you follow the links above and there is also a downloadable word document.
The turn around time for an initial Expression(s) of Interest to LEADER is extremely tight - 20th February. Therefore we are asking for initial responses to any or all of the ideas by February 12th 2010. This would not be a commitment - just that you would be interested in pursuing the idea(s) further!
