Last year James' best friends Sarah and Emma asked him for his sperm. This is the tale of what happened next, what happened after that and what happened after that. From the mind and heart of James Rowland, and directed by Daniel Goldman, this is a storytelling show about friendship, faith, and always trying to do the right thing - themes that are perhaps familiar to audiences who have seen his previous outings, ‘A Hundred Different Words for Love’ and the heart-breaking ‘Team Viking’, both of which exist in the same universe as this new production. James Rowland is a seasoned pro and ‘owns the audience from the start' (British Theatre Guide). He’s an accomplished and extremely likeable actor/ storyteller who has an easy rapport with the audience and quick wit. What’s particularly striking about Rowland’s performance, however, is his ability to seem like he is talking directly to you and sharing intimate secrets, all the while pairing this with live music and a welcome dollop of comedy. Shows with this amount of searing honesty and insight into the human condition don’t come around that often. Indeed, Rowland’s performance has been deemed a ‘hymn to storytelling… flooded with love’ (The Stage). It’s worth noting that there is nudity in this production but it's handled tastefully and humorously in a way that serves the narrative, and with Rowland’s signature lightness of touch. ★★★★ 'He owns the audience from the start.' British Theatre Guide
★★★★ 'A wonderful piece of theatre - charming, inventive and alive.' The Guardian ★★★★ 'A hymn to storytelling… flooded with love… uplifting… rapturous.' The Stage 'He owns the audience from the start.' British Theatre Guide
