Show Details

Presented by bgroup Dance

Performance date and time
Saturday, 10th February 2018
7:30 PM

Hovering at the boundary between dance and theatre, Point of Echoes blends the whimsical tones of a Wes Anderson movie with the uncanny dread of The Twilight Zone. This affecting nautical tale explores how the relationship between two keepers at an isolated lighthouse runs aground when a mysterious figure enters their lives. With extensive experience working in dance, theatre and opera, acclaimed choreographer/director Ben Wright creates the first commission for the Rural Touring Dance Initiative, an intimate new dance-theatre work for community halls. Ben is the director of bgroup and Artistic Co-Director of Candoco Dance Company.

'Wright is always an entertainer at heart, his work ranging from the comic through to the mysterious. Work of real beauty and quality.' The Guardian
